LUCY SPARROW PRESENTS FELT ‘R’ US

A Festive Pop-Up Felt Superstore Opening on Saturday 19th November

In November, internationally acclaimed artist Lucy Sparrow will unveil FELT ‘R’ US, a fully-felted superstore celebrating the greatest hits of her career to date, alongside a decorative takeover of MEATliquor Bloomsbury. Part exhibition, part Christmas art-buying opportunity, this installation is a must-see for anyone visiting the capital. Visitors can view some of Lucy’s most beloved felt artwork, including The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Lunch, a 6-metre-long installation commissioned by the late monarch to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Also on show will be Triple Art Bypass, the felted operating theatre featured in Grayson Perry’s Art Club.

 

 

Lucy’s festive offering includes her annual release of 14 different sets of Christmas tree decorations and an opportunity to buy works and limited edition merchandise from each of her critically acclaimed installations in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Tampa.

 

 

Lucy Sparrow – “I am a huge fan of Christmas and wanted to celebrate by bringing all of my favourite works together. I think it’s important that my work is accessible to the widest audience so I’m opening a pop-up store on the high street with something for everyone. The shop will be open every between Saturday 19 November 2022 to Sunday 24 December, from 11am – 8pm.
