Botanical Day at The Brunswick & Farmers Market

Saturday 18th May, 11am – 4pm

Meet our plant experts, enjoy free workshops and tutorials, enjoy our farmer’s market, visit our plant, flower and gardening stalls, grab a freebie, enter our competitions, pose in front of our colourful backdrops, taste our botanical inspired cuisines and more.

 

 

Talks/Demonstrations at the event include:

  • Hackney Herbal, advising on how to blend teas.
  • Studio Hoime, showing you how to create a terrarium.
  • Ion Gardens, running a talk on biodiversity.
  • Bramble and Willow, holding spring floral demonstrations.
  • Cultivate London, explaining how to grow plants in an urban environment.
  • Social Farms & Gardens, teaching you how to grow ferns successfully.
  • Botanique, running classes on how to create floral wreaths.
  • Botanical Boys, advising about houseplant care.

 

Following the hugely successful life drawing classes at the Brunswick Art Gallery, the centre has arranged for visitors to take part in botanical drawing workshops between 12.30pm – 4.00pm. The classes will be free to attend and tutored by an experienced artist. All materials will also be supplied free of charge.

  • Ion Gardens, selling plants.
  • Stems in the City, selling flowers.
  • F for Flower, selling fresh and dried flowers.
  • Manna Eating, selling plant-based snacks.
  • Clay Station London, selling handmade ceramic plant pots and vases.
  • Spudos, selling sustainably made crisps.
  • Riverford Organic, selling their organic fruit and vegetable boxes.
  • East London Liquor Company, selling their botanical spirits.
  • Moonji, selling plant-based ice-cream.

 

Several of our retailers will also be getting involved including:

  • Riding House, who will be selling houseplants and grow your own mushroom kits, as well as takeaway G&Ts.
  • GlamTouch, who will be selling their natural and sustainable products and giving out samples.
  • Waitrose, who will have their plants for sale outside the store.

 

Friends of Bloomsbury Square Gardens will also be attending the event to provide information on the local gardens and their volunteer programme.

 

To attend the event, you just need to show up on the day, no pre-booking is required.
