Doggie Day is Back!

Saturday 7 June

11.30am-3.30pm

We are pleased to announce that our hugely successful Doggie Day is coming back for a third year running!

Famous Dog Shows will return!

The centre has arranged stunt dog shows featuring famous dogs from TV and film for the public to watch again this year! Approximately 8 dogs from iconic films like Wonder Woman and Men in Black and well-known TV shows such as Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders and The Witcher will perform 3 x 20-minute shows during the day. The trainers of these famous dogs will be at the event and available to discuss how they prepare their dogs for these ‘acting’ roles. Visitors will also be able to get a photo with these doggy stars throughout the day.

Competitions

The centre wants to find the dog with the:

  • Waggiest tale
  • Best paw shaker
  • Best coat
  • Most handsome
  • Best trick
  • Well behaved
  • Looks like owner
  • Most obedient
  • Judges favourite
  • Cutest
  • Best Rescue

The centre’s undercover judges will be roaming the centre during the event to identify dogs they think are deserving of awards – those that stand out will be handed a rosette. Dogs (and their owners) lucky enough to receive a rosette will then be invited to the podium on the day to collect their £50 cash prize and to do a photoshoot.

Dogs are encouraged to attend the event in their very best outfit. Best dressed dogs can then enter the centre’s fashion show competition with best dressed pooches able to win an incredible cash prize – the winner will receive a £100 cash prize, second place will get a £50 cash prize and third place will get a £30 prize.

Guide Dogs

Find out about the amazing volunteering opportunities with Guide Dogs. Volunteering with Guide Dogs is life-changing – and not just for the people they support. Whether you have 1-2hrs spare each month or you would like to become a fosterer, you can chat to the Guide Dogs staff and volunteers about how you can support in your local area.

Dog Photographer

A photographer from Kings Dog Day Care will be capturing your dogs in their best light. Plus there will be homemade dog treats and free puppucinos on offer.

Dog Artists

The centre has also arranged for artists to be at the event all day to capture visitors’ dogs in their best light – drawings can then be taken home and enjoyed forever.

Dog Trainers and Vets

Multiple professional dog trainers and experts from Medivet will be roaming the Brunswick throughout the event to offer helpful tips and advice for dog owners.

Virtue Vets will be running health checks with a £5 donation towards Guide Dogs.
