Doggie Day Returns!
Saturday 6 September
11.30am-3.30pm
We are pleased to announce that our hugely successful Doggie Day is coming back for a second time this year!
Famous Dog Shows
The centre has arranged stunt dog shows featuring famous dogs from TV and film for the public to watch again this year! Approximately 8 dogs from iconic films like Wonder Woman and Men in Black and well-known TV shows such as Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders and The Witcher will perform 3 x 20-minute shows during the day. The trainers of these famous dogs will be at the event and available to discuss how they prepare their dogs for these ‘acting’ roles. Visitors will also be able to get a photo with these doggy stars throughout the day.
Competitions
The centre wants to find the dog that is:
- MOST WELL BEHAVED
- LOOKS LIKE OWNER
- MOST OBEDIENT
- JUDGES FAVOURITE
- MOST HANDSOME
- BEST COAT
- CUTEST
- BEST RESCUE
- GOLDIE OLDIE
- SHAGGIEST
- AND MORE
The centre’s undercover judges will be roaming the centre during the event to identify dogs they think are deserving of awards – those that stand out will be handed a rosette. Dogs (and their owners) lucky enough to receive a rosette will then be invited to the podium on the day to collect their £50 cash prize and to do a photoshoot.
Dogs are encouraged to attend the event in their very best outfit. Best dressed dogs can then enter the centre’s fashion show competition with best dressed pooches able to win an incredible cash prize – the winner will receive a £100 cash prize, second place will get a £50 cash prize and third place will get a £30 prize.
