Chickenshed Wow the Crowds

The Brunswick was excited to welcome theatre group Chickenshed to perform at Go Greek on Thursday 6th July.

Chickenshed gained massive notoriety when they were semi-finalists in Britain’s Got Talent. They wowed the judges, leading Alesha Dixon to hit her ‘golden buzzer’ after she was moved to tears by their performance.

They are an inclusive company that makes beautiful and inspirational theatre. They bring together people of all ages and from all backgrounds to produce outstanding theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges and informs both audiences and participants alike.  Their vision is a society that enables everyone to flourish, and Chickenshed’s mission is to create entertaining and outstanding theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change. Performance is at the heart of everything that they do and their work uses the stage to celebrate diversity and performance as a vehicle to communicate with audiences and tackle topical social issues.

They were absolutely thrilled to have been invited to perform and then to receive a generous £20,000 donation from The Christos Lazari Foundation, which was presented by Len Lazari on the night.  A spokesperson from Chickenshed said, “We would like to thank everyone who made us feel so welcome and we hope that we will be invited to come back to Go Greek next year.”

John Themis, Marketing Manager for the Brunswick said, “Chickenshed were absolutely phenomenal – I am so glad they were  able to perform on the night. They are inspirational and their performances shoot straight to the heart! I very much hope to work with them again in the future.”
